Work continues on electrical grid on Covert Street in Cobourg

Work on the electrical grid on Covert Street is underway in Cobourg.

The Town of Cobourg is advising residents that Lakefront Utilities Inc. will be completing upgrades to the electrical grid on Covert Street and the Covert Street parking lot through until Monday, Oct. 26.

Covert Street will remain open while the work is underway, the town noted in a recent release. However, a detour will be in place through the Covert Street parking lot to help maintain access and traffic flow.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution around the work area and follow posted signs and directions. Any electrical outages will be communicated to affected customers in advance, said the town.
