The Wild Hog Country Market celebrated its fifth anniversary last week with a busy week of customer appreciation events, special promotions and plenty of food.
Owners Marvin, Wendy and Derek Bachert, along with their families and staff, welcomed a strong turnout throughout the celebration at the market's location on Highway 7/8, just east of Stratford.
The anniversary festivities came on the heels of another success for the business, which also served the winning entry at the recent Taste the Best competition during the Ontario Pork Congress.
To mark the milestone, the market offered anniversary specials, daily prize draws, a complimentary barbecue featuring house-made hamburgers and hot dogs, and all-you-can-eat ice cream for visitors.
The celebration attracted customers from across the region, many of whom took advantage of the special offers while enjoying the food and family-friendly atmosphere.
Staff members remained busy throughout the week as customers stopped by to congratulate the Bachert family on five years of operation and support local food producers and products.
The Wild Hog Country Market has become a popular destination for locally produced meats and food products, serving customers from Perth County and beyond.
Owners said they were grateful for the support they have received from customers over the past five years and were pleased with the community response to the anniversary celebration.
