Residents from across the area are invited to celebrate culture, music and food from around the world during the Taste the Culture: Spring Around the World event in Wellesley this Saturday.

The event will take place May 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bill Gies Recreation Complex.

Organizers with the Wellesley-North Easthope Agricultural Society and the Wellesley Township Fall Fair say the event will feature entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, children’s crafts and cultural and educational displays representing a variety of cultures and traditions.

“Everyone should come and experience the sights, sounds and flavours of cultures from around the world,” organizers said.

The entertainment lineup begins at 11:15 a.m. with Irish music performed by Bob McLean, followed by the Bhangra Dancers at 12:15 p.m.

At 1:15 p.m., the Swiss Club of Thames Valley will perform, followed by LoveSounD Steel Drummer at 2:15 p.m.

Admission to the event is free and all ages are welcome. Donations in support of the Wellesley-North Easthope Agricultural Society will also be accepted.
