Tillsonburg Skating Club’s carnival is going to bring Dancing with the Stars on Ice to the local arena.

Following the theme of the show Dancing with the Stars, the carnival will see skaters have challenges and winners in a unique format that is designed to thrill the audience.

The carnival is a showcase of all skaters in the club, from the youngest to the oldest. The club uses a bi-annual format for its carnivals, with every other year being a bigger production. This is the big one.

Speaking of stars and big in the skating world, local skating sensation Summer Homick and her partner Nicholas Buelow will be showcasing their skills that have taken them to international competition. Rising stars Jazmine Desrochers and Kieran Thrasher will also be part of the show.

And then there’s the mystery of which locals will be part of the alumni number, and seeing the parents take to the ice with their young skaters in the annual tradition.

Shows are April 17 at 7 p.m., and April 18 with shows at both 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online at skating@live.ca or at the door.
