Members of Tavistock Masonic Lodge No. 609 welcomed representatives from Tavistock Community Health Inc. (TCHI) to their Hope Street West lodge last Thursday for a special donation presentation.

The Tavistock lodge is part of the Wilson District under the Grand Lodge of Canada and, according to members, is one of the youngest Masonic lodges in the country, having been established in 1922.

As part of the organization’s continued support for community initiatives, lodge members presented a $1,000 donation to TCHI to assist with ongoing fundraising efforts for upgrades to the Tavistock Medical Centre on Maria Street.

TCHI continues to raise funds toward its $500,000 goal for long-awaited improvements and upgrades to the medical centre.

Board members with TCHI expressed appreciation for the continued support received from local clubs, organizations and residents throughout the fundraising campaign.
