A beautifully restored Ford row-crop tractor will soon be heading to the auction block as part of the annual Mennonite Relief Sale in New Hamburg on May 30.

The Ford 960 tractor, which looks and runs like new despite its age, will be sold to the highest bidder both in person and online through HiBid during the annual fundraiser supporting Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

Produced between 1954 and 1957, the Ford 960 was considered an advanced tractor for its era and featured many options farmers appreciated at the time, including live PTO, hydraulics, power steering and a five-speed transmission.

Rated at approximately 43 horsepower, the tractor replaced the popular Ford 8N model and remains a favourite among antique tractor collectors today.

With very low hours, the restored machine is expected to attract plenty of interest from collectors and vintage farm-equipment enthusiasts attending the sale.

The tractor was donated in support of the Mennonite Relief Sale and the charitable work of MCC around the world.
