Mother’s Day celebrations bring laughter and relaxation to The Maples

Residents at The Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock enjoyed plenty of laughter, relaxation and special treats during three days of Mother’s Day celebrations last week.

The festivities included spa-themed activities featuring facial massages and plenty of time for residents to relax and enjoy being pampered.

Along with the spa treatments, residents were treated to refreshments, mimosas and plenty of laughs throughout the celebrations.

One memorable moment came when a group gathered to prepare mimosas and the cork from a champagne bottle flew across the room after being opened, drawing plenty of laughter from everyone nearby.

Executive director Joan Hergott said the celebrations were all about creating fun memories and making residents feel special during Mother’s Day.
