For the second year in a row, the Tavistock Agricultural Society has partnered with a Niagara-region winery to offer a bottled-wine fundraiser in support of local agricultural initiatives and community events.
After seeing strong participation during last year’s Christmas and Easter campaigns, organizers decided to make the fundraiser an annual event tied to both holidays.
Wine selections are supplied by Konzelmann Estate Winery in the Niagara region, with available varieties shared through the Tavistock Agricultural Society’s social-media pages on Facebook and Instagram. Supporters can browse the wine list online before placing their orders.
Once shipments arrive, customers pick up their purchases at the Queen’s Park Pavilion in Tavistock.
Organizers say interest in the fundraiser continues to grow, with orders already totalling approximately 150 bottles for the most recent campaign.
Agricultural society president Val Jones said the initiative has proven to be a valuable addition to the organization’s fundraising efforts.
Jones noted the fundraiser helps support the society’s ongoing work in the community, including organizing the annual Tavistock Fall Fair and other local events.
Those interested in participating in future wine fundraisers can contact Jones or any member of the Tavistock Agricultural Society board for more information.
