On the morning of Dec. 6, the Optimist Club once again brought holiday joy to Woodstock by hosting Santa’s Breakfast at St. David’s United Church, 190 Springbank Ave. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., families gathered for a morning filled with celebration, good food, and meaningful community support.
The event transformed the church hall into a festive gathering place, complete with holiday décor and a welcoming atmosphere created by dedicated volunteers. Guests were treated to a delicious breakfast, and children were especially delighted by the opportunity to visit Santa Claus and share their Christmas wishes.
The steady stream of families demonstrated the community’s enthusiasm for the long-standing tradition. In keeping with the Optimist Club’s commitment to supporting local youth, a portion of the proceeds was donated to the School Breakfast Program, helping ensure that students across Woodstock have reliable access to nutritious morning meals. Organizers emphasized how critical these funds are for supporting young learners and thanked attendees for making this contribution possible.
The Optimist Club extended its appreciation to all who participated, including volunteers, sponsors, and the staff of St. David’s United Church. The event not only provided an enjoyable morning for families but also strengthened the spirit of giving and community connection that defines the holiday season.
