Rock the Muse gives attendees opportunity to vote for the headliner

Who will headline this year’s Rock the Muse concert at the Stratford Perth Museum? You decide.
Rock the Muse: Rockin’ Our Roots will take over the museum’s Players Backstage on Oct. 3 from 2-11 p.m. All of the following 10 musicians scheduled to perform are either from Stratford or elsewhere in Perth County:

“Come for the music, stay for the community. You'll hear original local talent you won't find anywhere else,” managing director Kelly McIntosh said to the Times.
This year, the attendees will get to decide who will headline the sixth annual Rock the Muse through ticket sales. Anyone purchasing a ticket online can enter the name of the performer they’d like to see headline as a promo code or through the band’s direct QR code. Those who want to purchase physical tickets can also message the act directly.
The act who sells the most tickets will get to headline the annual event.
In a press release, Rock the Muse organizer Ethan McCarroll said, “We wanted to give the community more ownership over the night. Rock The Muse has always been about celebrating local talent, so letting the audience decide who headlines just felt right.”

All proceeds from Rock the Muse will support the Stratford Perth Museum and its programming.
The event will also feature a bar, community partner booths and merchandise on the grounds of the Players Backstage.
“You’ve got this beautiful outdoor space that just feels different from your typical venue. There's room to spread out, bring a lawn chair and really settle in for the day. And because it's hosted by the museum, there's this natural sense of community woven into the whole experience,” said McIntosh. “It’s not just a concert, it's a Stratford gathering. People come back year after year because that setting genuinely makes the day feel special.”
Earlier this year, the Stratford Perth Museum held concerts including The Lemon Bucket Orkestra, Hello Heather and the Milkers, the No Aloha Festival, and Tragically Hip tribute band The Almost Hip, in addition to Stratford Summer Music concerts.
