Police looking for information in connection to officer injury

A member of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police was struck by a dirt bike, while on an unrelated traffic stop, in Norwich Township.

On Friday, Sept. 25, at around 3 p.m. a member of the Oxford OPP was on general patrol when they initiated a traffic stop. While walking back to their cruiser they were struck by an unknown individual performing a "wheelie" on a dirt bike. The individual struck the officer and then fled the scene.

The officer sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is being described as:

• Male

• White

• Between 16 and 25-years-old

• Wearing a white San Francisco 49ers hoodie and blue jeans

The dirt bike is being described as:

• Black frame with red seat

• Single pipe exhaust

• Four-stroke engine

• Off-road tires
