Panthers stay competitive in hockey, basketball and volleyball

Girls Hockey
The Panthers continued their winning streak by defeating the St John’s Eagles 3-1. On Wednesday, the Panthers took their first loss of the year, losing 4-1 to Assumption College. Reagan Charter was the lone scorer for Paris.
Boys Hockey
The Panthers took a 4-3 loss to the St John’s Eagles, their first loss of the year. Cohen Vanderhook scored two goals, and Ryker Hockman scored the third goal.
Boys Basketball
The teams travelled to Pauline Johnson last Tuesday, with the Juniors suffering a 67-53 loss. Leading scorers for the Panthers were Blake Cruickshank, Rex Savage, and Sawyer Mead. Meanwhile, the Seniors won their game 70-66. Leading Panther scorers were Canaan Sherbino, Eoin Wright and Nathan Brewster.
Last Thursday, the Panthers played North Park at home, with the Juniors taking a loss. Leading scorers for the Paris side were Blake Cruickshank, Rex Savagea, and Eesa Ansary. Later, the Seniors won their second consecutive game, defeating the Trojans 70-62.
Girls Volleyball
Last Tuesday, the Panthers hosted the Pauline Johnson teams and the Juniors lost a close one, three games to 2. They dropped the first two games of the match but came back to win the next two, tying the match at two games each, before losing the tie-break 15-12.
The Senior side earned its first win of the year, defeating PJ 3-1. The girls have great potential, and this win should get them on a positive trajectory.
On Thursday, the Juniors played the Trojans and won their first game of the year by a score of 3 games to 2. Meanwhile, the Trojans shut out the Panthers 3 games to 0.
