Norfolk General Hospital celebrates 100th anniversary on June 7

Norfolk General Hospital is marking its 100th anniversary milestone year with several community events.
The first public celebration will take place Saturday, June 7, 1-4 p.m. at the Norfolk County Recreational Centre in the Dogwood Room.
The’ double theme’ is Honouring 100 Years of Excellence at Norfolk General Hospital and Celebrating 50 Years of Dedication at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home.
This is a drop-in event open to the public and it will include:
- Light refreshments and cake service.
- A memorabilia exhibit showcasing a century of hospital history and five decades of nursing care.
- A visual timeline with rare photos and memorable moments from the past 100 years.
- Guest speakers and greetings from hospital and nursing home leadership.
- A casual meet-and-greet with past and present staff, physicians, volunteers, and community members.
Everyone is welcome, and Norfolk General Hospital would be especially thrilled to welcome former staff, physicians, and volunteers who have been part of the 100-year journey.
