Members of the NEAT (North Easthope Antique Tractor) Club met for their annual meeting at the New Hamburg Legion last week.

Of the club’s 72 members, a vote was held to elect a new executive. Longtime member Murray Gingerich of Baden was elected president, while John Schyff, of the Almulree area, was named vice-president for 2026.

Ron Neeb continues as secretary-treasurer, and Wayne Gerber will again serve as program co-ordinator.

Outgoing president John Mohr said he “really enjoyed his time in the chair” and noted the club will once again donate two restored tractors to the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) sale in New Hamburg next month.

The tractors will be sold at auction during the relief sale, with 100 per cent of proceeds donated by the club. Over the past 10 years, the club has contributed more than $85,000 to MCC to support those in need in Canada and around the world.

This year’s donations include an Allis-Chalmers D-15 Series 2 and a Ford 961 with a narrow front end. Both have been fully restored and reflect tractors commonly used on local farms in the past.

Details about the sale will be included in upcoming MCC advertisements.
