Meat-A-Kinsmen is group’s latest fundraiser

Looking to fill your freezer for summer barbecues?

The Tillsonburg Kinsmen Club has one possible solution to purchase meat, and other staples, while contributing back to the community. The group’s latest fundraiser Meat-A-Kinsmen lets community members purchase a variety of beef and chicken products, cheese, and sauces. And for those with a sweet tooth, Rachel’s Butter Tarts, are also available.

Orders can be placed online through the club’s website at tillsonburgkinsmen.com

Club member Geoff Cork said the concept was one idea that came out when fundraising ideas were being discussed. Members then voted what they wanted to go forward with.

“This was one of the top ideas, to sell products from local companies, but do it through online orders,” he said.

Those wishing to support the fundraiser can purchase bulk packs of steaks, burgers and other beef products sourced from Norpac; Poultry Specialties’ chicken breasts, wings and other chicken products; Delmar Foods barbecue sauce; smoked brisket and other prepared meat products from JTK Meat Shoppe; Gunn’s Hill Cheese; and Rachel’s Butter Tarts. Using the online order form, supporters can pick and choose what they desire from the 30 products available.

The order cutoff deadline is April 30.

Proceeds from the fundraiser support Kinsmen projects, which include all minor sports, local town facilities and being a sponsor of Turtle Fest.
