Local fair ambassadors from across Zone 7 gathered at the Paris Fairgrounds over the weekend to take part in the annual Christopher Leadership Program, a public speaking and leadership development workshop hosted by the Paris Agricultural Society and District 7 Convention organizers.

Held on Saturday, Nov. 2, the day-long event brought together ambassadors from fairs across Waterloo, Oxford, Wellington and Six Nations, including representatives from Tavistock, Wellesley, Woodstock Embro and Drumbo.

Participants were honoured to be joined by Lexi Johnston of Listowel, this year’s Ambassador of the Fairs for Ontario, who earned the provincial title at the CNE Ambassador Competition earlier this year in Toronto.

The Christopher Leadership Program provided ambassadors with practical skills and confidence for their roles, particularly in public speaking – a key part of representing their agricultural societies and communities at events throughout the year.
