Lattes, Hoodies and More Support Seniors

ONE CARE’s Shop for Seniors campaign is back for the month of October for residents and visitors to shop local while supporting seniors and adults with health challenges in the community.
About 20 businesses in Huron and Perth Counties are participating in the 2026 Shop for Seniors campaign. Residents and visitors to the area can purchase an item from participating businesses and a portion of proceeds will be donated to ONE CARE’s Driven to Care campaign. The Driven to Care campaign aims to add new accessible vehicles to replace the aging fleet.
"We're so fortunate to have community members and businesses that come out for ONE CARE because they believe in the cause and what we're doing for older adults and people with health challenges,” said Stephanie Ellens-Clarke, executive director of ONE CARE.
Brch and Wyn will donate a $1 from each purchase of the One Care Latte, a blend of chocolate and hazelnut syrup poured over steamed milk and espresso. Jonny Kirwin, owner of Brch and Wyn, told the Stratford Times that the One Care Latte has received a positive reception from customers.
“Our customers are always supportive when we get involved in community initiatives, and it’s been great to see people get behind something that has a meaningful impact locally. It’s nice knowing that something as simple as enjoying your daily coffee can contribute to a much bigger cause,” he said.
Alley Cat Café will donate $1 from coffee purchases. Mosaic Outfitters will sell One Care hoodies and donate $1 from each purchase towards the campaign.
For every box of shortbread sold, MacLeod’s Scottish Shop will donate $1. Demetre’s Family Eatery will donate $1 for every purchase of a senior meal. Chocolate Barr’s Candies will donate 25 cents from every milk chocolate mintie sale. Halo Car Wash will donate 50 per cent from every car wash towards Driven to Care and Modo Yoga’s Karma Hot Yoga Classes will also support the campaign.
Sirkel Foods sold special sandwiches on Oct. 9 and Corner Store Candy Co. sold dirty sodas on Oct. 2 for the Shop for Seniors fundraiser. Fellini’s will donate a portion of proceeds sold on Oct. 19.
Clinton’s Boston Pizza and Goderich’s New Orleans Pizza are also participating.
"It's a really cool way for people to support ONE CARE through, and also support our local businesses,” Ellens-Clarke said.
Participating businesses will also have a neon butterfly in the window display. Anyone can take a photo with the logo and post it on Facebook and Instagram, tagging the business and ONE CARE, for a chance to win a prize basket filled with items from the participating businesses.
The Driven to Care Campaign began in March 2025 and raised more than $460,000. The organization plans to reach the $500,000 fundraising goal by the end of 2026.
“Everyone's played their part in that in our community to help us buy some new vehicles and to replace those aging fleet that we have, so that's been awesome,” said Ellens-Clarke.
