Ed’s House in Northumberland gears up for annual ‘Hike, Bike and Bark’ fundraiser

Residents can grab their walking shoes or tune up their bicycles later this month to help support hospice care in Northumberland.

Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation’s (Ed’s House foundation) annual “Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice” fundraiser takes place on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Victoria Park in Cobourg.

Ed’s House recently announced CPS Wood Products as its presenting sponsor of the 2026 installment of Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice.

“The partnership elevates this year’s event and adds to the growing community support behind Ed’s House hospice, whose care teams provide comfort, dignity and support to individuals and families across Northumberland County,” noted Community Care Northumberland (CCN), which operates alongside Ed’s House, in a news release.

Supporting Ed's House hospice “is meaningful to our company because it has touched the lives of people within our own team and their families,” said Michelle Adamson, CPS Wood Products spokesperson.

“We have seen firsthand the difference these services make during challenging times, providing care, guidance, comfort and support when it is needed most. That personal connection makes our partnership more than a financial contribution – it is an opportunity to give back to an organization that has had a real and lasting impact on members of our workplace family and community.”

With the sponsor’s support, Ed’s House said it will continue to raise awareness and funds that directly support hospice care in the community, “ensuring patients and families have access to the compassionate care they deserve.”

The event offers a chance for the entire community to come together and celebrate, remember and honour loved ones, all while raising critical funds for local hospice care.
