This September, the Goderich Co-op Gallery welcomes the Bayfield Artist Guild as its visiting artists. The Guild has exhibited annually at the Co-op over the past number of years, and its members have brought a range of new work from just down the coast.

The Bayfield Artist Guild is a group of artists who live, work, and play along the shores of Lake Huron in the village of Bayfield.

The Guild is dedicated to nurturing and inspiring its members, creating an inclusive space for all visual arts and skill levels. Members can look forward to workshops, guest speakers, plein air outings, and access to gallery exhibits.

Earlier this month, the Guild held a special art show called "We Love Where We Live," marking Bayfield's 150th anniversary. The show featured artwork celebrating the community, including a showcase centered on the village's lighthouse.

The Guild has also partnered with the Village Bookshop for past shows in its garden on Main Street, often alongside the Bayfield Photography Club and other local vendors during the Main Street Arts Festival.

Goderich residents can see the Guild's work at the Co-op Gallery throughout September. Also, on display this month is the gallery's member Feature Wall exhibit, "Renewal," which coincides with the finishing touches on the Square's renovation. The gallery's gift shop offers cards and artful gifts at comfortable prices.

The Goderich Co-op Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a later 12 p.m. opening on the second Wednesday of each month. The gallery is located at 54 Courthouse Square, downstairs from Elizabeth's Art Gallery.

For more information, visit gcgallery.ca or follow the gallery on Facebook and Instagram.
