ACW Council Candidate: Paul Bollinger

By: Kate Smith
With an interest in politics his whole life, and experience in municipal politics from last term, Paul Bollinger is seeking another term on ACW Council in the upcoming election.
Bollinger moved here from Switzerland in 1987 with his wife and their four children and has worked as a registered Forester. With agriculture schooling, Bollinger and his wife have farmed since they moved to ACW.
If elected and chosen to serve on ACW Council for another term, Bollinger vows he will try to keep property taxes the same rate for four years.
“I want to bring fairness to all people, and bring in the evening meetings again,” he added.
“As well as keeping the budget down and freeze the salaries.”
Top priorities for Bollinger include ensuring ACW’s infrastructure remains safe, while nurturing prosperous growth of the community, and listening to the concerns of taxpayers, while offering practical solutions.
Bollinger would also like to see people start to attend the council meetings more often. He wants council to be more accessible, so residents can get involved and have a say at meetings, while letting the council hear your voice.
