Organizers of the 2026 Wellesley Township Fall Fair are once again inviting seniors and "almost seniors" from Wellesley Township and surrounding communities to enjoy an afternoon of tea, entertainment and fellowship during the second annual Wellesley Fall Fair Senior Tea.

The event will be held Friday, Aug. 28, from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Bill Gies Recreation Centre and celebrates the many people who have helped build and support the Wellesley Fall Fair over the years.

The event is organized by fair committee members Joanne Stewart, Wendy Richardson and Theresa Bisch to recognize the volunteers, exhibitors and community members whose dedication has helped make the fair a longstanding local tradition.

Following a successful inaugural event last year, organizers hope to welcome an even larger crowd this summer for an afternoon of friendship, entertainment and community spirit.

Guests will enjoy an afternoon tea prepared by Schmidtsville Restaurant, along with live entertainment by the Dynamic Duo, a popular Waterloo Region musical act.

After the tea, attendees will receive early admission to the Wellesley Township Fall Fair, giving them the first opportunity to view the prize-winning exhibits when they open at 4:30 p.m.

Admission is $25 per person and includes both the Senior Tea and Friday evening admission to the fair. Proceeds from the event will help support the continued success of the Wellesley Township Fall Fair.

Tickets are limited and must be purchased by Aug. 14.

To reserve tickets, contact Stewart at 519-658-0764, Richardson at 519-656-2961 or Bisch at 519-502-9120. Tickets can also be ordered by emailing wellesleyfair@gmail.com or by e-transfer to the same email address with "Senior Tea" noted in the memo line.

Organizers look forward to welcoming guests for an afternoon celebrating the people whose support has helped make the Wellesley Township Fall Fair a cherished community tradition.
