U16 Strikers Boys make a road sweep

The Stratford U16 Strikers secured two victories this week: one against Puslinch Predators in Southwest District Soccer League action, and another against Oriental SC in the first round of the Nothers Youth Cup.

On June 16, Stratford defeated Puslinch 4-0, with Lucas De Witt and Logan Wilson each scoring, the latter earning a hat trick. This win brought their record to 2-1-3, placing them seventh in the league with seven points, nine points behind division leaders Waterloo United as of press time.

On June 19, at Campo Do Oriental in Cambridge, the Strikers beat Oriental SC 2-1, with goals from Wilson and Max Weber. They will face Owen Sound United in the Cup semifinals on July 24.

Their next regular-season match is against RED Academy on June 30 at Vancea Financial Field, Festival Hydro Park.
