U15 Strikers Girls rumble past Rockwood FC

On June 22, the Stratford U15 Strikers hosted Rockwood FC at Cowan Field in Festival Hydro Park.

Elena Hogger and team captain Peyton Ward led Stratford with a total of five goals in a 7-0 victory over the visitors. The other goals were scored by Peyton Van Straaten and Madison Brisbois. Goalkeeper Grace Elliott achieved her third shutout of the season.

With the result, the Strikers improved their record to 5-0 and took first place in the Southwest District Soccer League U15 Girls Division by better goal differential over Waterloo United, who have the identical win-draw-loss record.

The Strikers are set to face Waterloo United in a showdown for first place in the division on June 29 at Cowan Field in Festival Hydro Park. The game will kick off at 7 p.m.
