Strawberries on display at church supper

St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church welcomed guests from across the community on Thursday, June 25, for its annual Strawberry Supper, a cherished local tradition that combined fellowship, good food, and the taste of summer. From 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., the church hall filled with laughter and conversation as families, friends, and visitors enjoyed a hearty meal and homemade desserts featuring fresh Ontario strawberries. The evening’s menu offered a comforting hot plate of baked ham, scalloped potatoes, brown beans, coleslaw, and a dinner roll, followed by a generous helping of strawberries with cake and ice cream. Coffee, tea, and juice were served throughout the event, ensuring that every guest felt warmly welcomed. Both eat in and take out options were available, allowing attendees to enjoy the meal in the hall or bring it home to share. Organizers reported strong attendance, with adults, children, and families turning out in support of the church’s ongoing community programs. Children five and under were treated to free meals, while older guests contributed through ticket purchases that helped fund local outreach initiatives. Volunteers worked diligently behind the scenes to prepare, serve, and clean up, ensuring that the evening ran smoothly from start to finish.
