Steinmann Mennonite Church hosts annual NEAT breakfast

Despite periods of intermittent rain, members of the North Easthope Antique Tractor (NEAT) Club made their way to Steinmann Mennonite Church near Baden for the club's annual fundraising breakfast.

Church volunteers prepared a hearty breakfast featuring eggs made using a variety of traditional Mennonite recipes, along with fresh fruit and homemade sticky buns. The meal proved to be a hit with the tractor enthusiasts, many of whom happily returned for seconds.

The annual breakfast also provides an opportunity for local farmers, tractor owners and their families to gather for good food and fellowship in the church's spacious auditorium.

After breakfast, many of the attendees took time to admire the collection of antique tractors parked outside the church. While John Deere models remained favourites for many who grew up farming with the iconic green machines, the vintage Case tractors also attracted plenty of attention.

Funds raised through this year's breakfast will help Steinmann Mennonite Church replace the aging countertops in its busy kitchen with new stainless-steel surfaces.
