On Saturday morning at Milt Dunnell Field, the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation and Happy Valley Health Team hosted a breakfast for the community.
The cost was by donation and English muffin sandwiches with peameal bacon, eggs and cheese were available. Also available were milk, water and coffee.
There was a Teddy Bear hospital where stuffies could be checked over by a doctor and fixed up if needed. Kate Gregg was also on hand making her awesome balloon creations. All the proceeds from the event support the foundation.
Thank-you to Delmar Foods, Graholm Farms, Perth Dairy Committee, Joe’s Diner, Stonetown Supply, St. James Men’s Service Club, Bruce and Nancy White, Lactalis Canada Inc., Tremblett’s Independent Grocer and Devizes Cheese Factory for their kind and giving donations, making the event possible.
There were approximately 330 people who came to the breakfast, raising $2,000 for the foundation thanks to the generosity of the community. The next early bird draw for the health-care foundation’s 50/50 for $250 will be held on Thursday, June 4.
