The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) is investigating after a person was allegedly hit by a vehicle early Wednesday (Sept. 30) morning in downtown Cobourg.


Police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, and officers are working to identify the vehicle and the driver at the time of the incident.


At about 1 a.m., police said they responded to a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle near Division and King streets. Police said they found an individual who was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.



The vehicle involved is described as a red pick-up truck. Police said officers searched the area but did not find the vehicle.


CPS is looking to identify the vehicle and driver. Anyone with information or surveillance doorbell or dash camera footage of the area is asked to contact CPS at 905-372-6821.
