Supporters of the proposed Perth East Dog Park have reached an important milestone, surpassing the project's $25,000 fundraising goal.

Residents travelling through downtown Milverton may have noticed the fundraising thermometer now showing the campaign has exceeded its target thanks to the generosity of local residents, businesses and community supporters.

The campaign committee thanked everyone who contributed, with the sign proudly proclaiming, "Thanks FUR your support."

Organizers say the project would not have been possible without the overwhelming backing of the community and the many donors who helped turn the vision into reality.

Once completed, the dog park will provide a safe, fenced space where dog owners can exercise and socialize their pets off leash.

The park is planned for a site behind Boshart Industries and will offer local residents a dedicated area for dogs to run and play while giving owners another opportunity to connect with fellow pet lovers.

The successful fundraising campaign marks a significant step toward bringing the long-awaited amenity to Perth East.
