Paris Duffers Report: Duffers close out another season

This past Friday saw the end of another season for the Paris Duffers at The Burford Golf Course. Yes, sadly, the antics of this group of hackers signals the beginning of the end of their exploits for another summer.

Not that there wasn't some great plays and miscues on their play. We begin with Dr. Fever and Beets taking it to Cutter and Cap'n Ron. Having lost front and back nines the Cut and the Cap'n were on the hook (Captain Hook lol) for double the milk.

Next was Swanee and Jacquer against Somber Al and Billy B. According to the Swan it was Jaquer who carried them to victory lane. Al and BB were down two and pressed thinking the big guy was out of gas which led to, you guessed it, double the milk.

Following that was Hoogs and Enzo versus Chick and Brownie. This was a no contest as Chicken was all over the place and the spectacular fall from grace of Brownie who, on this day, was a shadow of the hero from just two weeks ago.

Finally, Birdie and Willie let Double G and Bergy hang around just long enough for them to have hope before finishing them off. At least this team didn't press saving the extra milk for themselves.

Quote of the week from Dino. "Chicken...we had a vote for the most popular in our group and you came in second. The rest of us tied for first".

As I said, this is the beginning of the end as the Duffers will be active until the clubs go into storage. 

That is when the pool cues come out and you can follow their shenanigans this winter. In closing we all would like to thank Cutter for organizing this weekly get together, for his humor and good will, for hosting after rounds, for going first all season, for drinking our milk and...sorry, I got sidetracked there.
