Motorcyclist airlifted to Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries: OPP

Northumberland OPP is calling on the public for help with an investigation into an alleged fail-to-remain crash in the Port Hope area that sent a motorcycle rider to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries, say police.
According to OPP, emergency crews responded to the collision involving a sedan and motorcycle in the County Road 28 area, near Ganaraska Road, on Monday, Sept. 21, shortly after 9:30 a.m.
“The motorcycle rider – a 53-year-old male – sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by Ornge to a Toronto-area trauma centre,” said OPP. “The involved vehicle is described as a white sedan with tinted windows and a possible spoiler.
“Investigators are continuing their efforts to identify the driver.”
OPP’s technical traffic collision investigation unit was also called and had to shut down County Road 28, between Boundary and Ganaraska roads, for the onsite investigation.
