Northumberland hospital foundation kicks off online auction

By West Northumberland Independent staff
Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation is “Singin’ in the Rain.”
The foundation has launched an online auction in support of the “Singin’ in the Rain: Hollywood Style Gala,” which is on Saturday (Nov. 7.)
Bidding is now open for more than 120 items and experiences, and bids will be accepted until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
“Every year, the support from businesses and individuals across our community is remarkable,” said Therese Brennan-Hunt, auction chair. “We are very grateful to all those who donated for their willingness to support our hospital.
“This year, with some exciting new items, as well as many returning favourites, there really is something for everyone.”
Proceeds from this year’s gala, including those raised through the auction, will help modernize breast healthcare at NHH. Key investments to be made related to the breast health program include a new 3D mammography unit with contrast capabilities, an ultrasound machine, a bone mineral density scanner and wire-free breast tissue localization technology.
A full listing of auction items, which includes sports and concert tickets, unique stay experiences, local packages, family outings, culinary delights, home décor, and more can be found by visiting www.NHHGala.ca before 7 p.m. Nov. 10.
Those with questions about the auction or Singin’ in the Rain: Hollywood Style are encouraged to email Megan Fluxgold at mfluxgold@nhh.ca or call 905-372-6811 ext. 3071.
