Another New Hamburg resident is celebrating a cash prize after winning the Wilmot Heritage Fire Brigades' monthly 50/50 draw for October.

Marg Forler of New Hamburg was presented with a cheque for $557.50 last week by Wilmot Heritage Fire Brigades president Peter Gingerich.

The monthly draw continues to be an important fundraiser for the organization, helping members preserve and maintain historic firefighting vehicles, equipment and artifacts at the Wilmot Heritage Fire Brigades Museum in Baden.

With October's winner announced, the organization is now encouraging area residents to purchase tickets for its November draw and support the volunteer group's ongoing preservation efforts.

The November draw marks the organization's 52nd 50/50 cash raffle, giving participants another opportunity to take home a cash prize while contributing to a worthwhile community cause.

Those interested in purchasing tickets can visit the Wilmot Heritage Fire Brigades' website at wilmotfiremuseum.com.

With continued support from residents of Baden, New Hamburg and the surrounding communities, the organization can carry on its work preserving the area's firefighting history for future generations.
