October has been a tough month for the Mounties, with the team on the road and struggling to win in their opponents' rinks.

On October 10, the Mounties were finally back home at the Brant Sports Complex to face the Wellesley Applejacks. Keegan Clarke opened the scoring for Paris, followed by an Applejack goal to tie the game at 1. Logan Pipe’s goal gave the Mounties a first-period 2-1 lead.

In the second period, Jack Kersey’s goal extended Paris’ lead to 3-1. After that goal, the two teams alternated scoring: Wellesley first, then the Mounties' Hayden Mulligan; then the visitors, Logan Pipe, found the back of the net. Wellesley scored to end the second period, and Paris led 5-4.

Wellesley dominated the period, scoring three goals, including an empty-netter. For a 7-5 final win for the Applejacks. The Mounties spent 8 out of the 20 minutes in the penalty box without allowing a power-play goal, it in effect steals opportunities for the team to score.

On October 11, the team travelled to Hespeler and lost another away game 5-2. Carter McKay and Logan Pipe scored for Paris.

This Saturday, October 24th, the Mounties will be playing the Dorchester Dolphins. As usual, puck drop is at 7:30 pm at the Brant Sports Complex.
