April 12 marked an exciting day for local youth bowlers as they competed in the High-Low Regional Tournament, showcasing determination, teamwork and impressive performances across all divisions.
The High-Low format, which rewards bowlers based on pins over their average, highlights improvement and consistency-making each of these results a testament to the athletes' growth and effort.
In the Peewee division, Lincoln Brown and Adrian Klomp, coached by Kayla Klomp, delivered an outstanding performance, finishing in second place with a remarkable +49 pins over average. Their strong showing has earned them a well-deserved spot at the upcoming provincials, where they will represent the region against top competitors.
The Bantam division saw Caleb Luckhardt and Spencer Koyle, also under the guidance of coach Kayla Klomp, put together a solid effort. The duo finished fifth overall with an impressive +145, demonstrating consistency and resilience throughout the tournament.
In Junior competition, Myla Douglas and Charlee Koyle, coached by Jim Koyle, battled hard in a competitive field. They secured a 7th place finish with a +3, reflecting steady play and determination.
Rounding out the event in the Senior division, Dominic Boyles Keating and Isaac Kroesbergen, coached by Steve Morris, narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish at -2. Despite the tight margins, their performance remained strong in a highly competitive division.
Congratulations go out to all participants for representing the community with pride, and best of luck to Brown and Klomp as they advance to provincials.
