The Rockton World’s Fair once again showcased some of Ontario’s top 4-H dairy talent during its annual “Countdown to the Classic” show — one of the final opportunities for young competitors to prepare for the TD 4-H Royal Dairy Classic at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.

This high-calibre event drew more than 125 top dairy heifers from across the province, giving 4-H members the chance to fine-tune their showmanship and confirmation skills ahead of the Royal’s 103rd edition in November.

Among the standout participants were Grace Weitzel of Tavistock and Beth Cleave of New Dundee, who represented Perth and Waterloo counties with pride. Grace earned Honourable Mention Champion Holstein Heifer, a notable achievement in a highly competitive field.

Now in its second year, the Countdown to the Classic continues to grow in popularity and prestige, helping young dairy leaders gain valuable experience and recognition before competing on the national stage.
