Kirkton-Woodham Optimist Club donates to hospital foundations from successful breakfast

The Kirkton-Woodham Optimist Club was very proud to donate $4029.76 to both the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation and the South Huron Hospital Foundation. On Feb. 15, the Optimist Club of Kirkton-Woodham hosted its third-annual community breakfast fundraiser.

All donations from the event were donated equally to the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation and the South Huron Hospital Foundation.

This year, the breakfast welcomed 517 guests and raised a total of $8,059.52, resulting in $4,029.76 for each foundation. The foundations will be using the funds to help purchase high-priority medical equipment for their hospitals.

One of the organizers, Cliff Thomson, shared the club was very happy with how the breakfast turned out. The club wants to thank the following for their contributions and donations:
