Treats in the Streets is back in Simcoe this weekend.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Downtown Simcoe Business Improvement Area (BIA) is hosting its annual Halloween event, Treats in the Streets, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy family time downtown – in costumes – collecting candy from participating businesses, and having some Halloween fun.

“It’s amazing. Some of the places had like 700 candies to hand out (last year) and they were done by about 1 o’clock. It’s a lot of fun,” said Les Anderson, Downtown Simcoe BIA coordinator Les Anderson, expecting a huge turnout, rain or shine.

The Delhi District Secondary School Drama Club is presenting another night of ‘horror and terror’ at The Haunted Sawmill on Friday, Oct. 23, 7:20-9 p.m.

The Quance sawmill in Delhi has a dark side. Explore the interior of the museum’s sawmill and come ‘face to face with the shadowy energy that built up over a hundred years of accidents and injury?’ Small groups tours will be guided through mill at designated times.

Recommended age for the annual Haunted Sawmill is 12 and up. Parental guidance is suggested. Admission is $10 per person. Pre-registration required. Tickets are available at the museum or Eventbrite.

The first tour at 7:20 is currently sold out, and as of last weekend, there were limited spots remaining for other time slots.
