Dusters keep things even in humorous 2-2 showdown

Certainly, Dusters Hockey has hit stride. This week's contest was yet another intense 2-2 goal game...in theory.

Perhaps it was the rampant call ups that were needed to fill a roster depleted by Grade 8 graduations? That being said, the game went on and went on it did.

Certainly, Butters Raatenan played as smooth as his name.  Who said he had no Finnish? Butters was Helsinki on skates as he made the personification of "There is no I in TEAM...but there is a ME.”

Not to be out done was Braeden Gregorovich who skated like his laces had no end. The goal posts learned to move out of the way from his cannon shot. Braeden is the man!

Goalie Neufeld's quote from the crease of "Orange you glad I showed up?" for sure had the defence making a hearty laugh.

And though it may be said that any one of the Dusters may be traded for a bucket of pucks and a roll of tape...well that actually would be pretty good. Seeing as the Team has lost 17 of the original stock of 29 pucks in 2026, a trade (and add in that nice bucket ) of one of the guys for those pucks is looking good to Management at this time.

So we wait another week and by that time anyone who cares will know if Team Canada won their World Cup group. Regardless of the Swiss result, the Dusters hit the ice at the BSC on Thursdays at 5:30pm. Our door is open to all, just email JY at offsideyoung@gmail.com! This week is the mid year social at the Freeman Pub. Come meet the Dusters!
