Cobourg man, 48, charged after intimate partner violence investigation

A 48-year-old Cobourg man has been charged after an intimate partner violence investigation.
According to the Cobourg Police Service, on Nov. 4, 2026, police responded to a local residence for a report of an alleged assault.
As a result of the investigation, police said the accused was arrested and charged with assault – spousal.
This charge has not been proven in court.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date, reported police.
No other details were released.
