Baby Show tradition continues at the fair

Sixteen babies competed for prizes and ribbons at the 172nd Tillsonburg Tri-County Fair at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 15 in the Lions Auditorium at the Tillsonburg Community Centre.
Judges for the event were Anne Hollis and Fran Brown.
Competing in the infants up to six months were: Nash Frank, Cooper Page, Nikolai Kolomaya, and Sebastian Panks-Phipps.
Competing in the seven to 12 month age group were: Wyatt Cluett, Mackenzie Harren, Joseph Lindsay, Faithlyn Roy, August Vezina, twins Georgia and Skylar Voldock and Zayden Williams.
Competing in the 13 to 18 month classes were: Ripley Britton, Jackson Clunas, Lucas Lynn and Leia Kendrick.
Rosette ribbons were won for the Best at Throwing Things, Friendliest, Happiest, Most Curious, Most Active, Most Hair, Prettiest Eyes, Sleepiest, Travelled Furthest to get to our Baby Show, and Youngest. In the two classes of babies creatively dressed for the fair's ‘Teddy Bear Picnic and Family Fun’ theme were: Ripley Britton, Jackson Clunas, Nash Frank, Nikolai Kolomaya, Joseph Lindsay, Lucas Lynn, Cooper Page, Sebastian Panks-Phipps, Faithlyn Roy, and August Vezina.
Draws for grocery vouchers were held throughout the event.
Many thanks go to volunteers who decorated, took registrations and made the show possible. They were Ilene Chesterman, Laura Hawley, Bonnie Edwards, Barb Emms, and Paula Hathaway. Thanks also to our Junior Ambassador Dylan Reid who presented the ribbons to the winners.
