As September gives way to October and November approaches, the countryside throughout Perth, Oxford and Waterloo counties comes alive with the brilliant colours of autumn.

From the vibrant reds and oranges of sugar maples to the golden yellows of changing leaves, this time of year offers a reminder of just how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful part of Ontario.

A recent drive through the countryside provided an opportunity to capture some of that natural beauty before the colourful leaves disappear and the colder days of late fall and winter arrive.

While autumn's brilliant colours never seem to last long enough, they certainly give residents and visitors plenty of reasons to get outdoors, take a drive along some of our scenic country roads and enjoy the changing seasons.

With colder temperatures and the possibility of snow just around the corner, now is the time to appreciate the colourful landscapes that make southern Perth County and its neighbouring communities such wonderful places to call home.
