Another Woodstock Fair in the books

The three day Woodstock Fair and Ribfest wrapped up on Aug. 23, closing out a weekend marked by both strong community turnout and challenging weather conditions. Friday provided the only rain free day, allowing families to enjoy the midway, food vendors, and evening entertainment without interruption. Crowds were steady throughout the day, giving the weekend a solid start before conditions shifted. By Saturday, heavy rain and fast moving storms swept through Woodstock, leaving wet grounds, scattered debris, and temporary delays at the Fairgrounds. City crews spent much of the weekend clearing fallen branches and stabilizing walkways, which slowed early day attendance and forced adjustments to outdoor setups. Sunday brought continued cleanup efforts as organizers and crews worked around saturated areas and storm related debris. While the weather again reduced morning turnout, visitors gradually returned as conditions improved, helping both events finish on a positive note. Despite the storms, the Woodstock Fair and Ribfest completed their full three day run, demonstrating the resilience of organizers, volunteers, and the community. The weekend delivered a mix of entertainment, food, and tradition — proving once again that Woodstock shows up, rain or shine.
