4 charged after Cobourg raid: Cocaine, cash, baton seized

Four people are facing charges after Cobourg police say they seized cocaine, cash and an expandable baton after a raid last week.

On Aug. 14, 2026, as part of an ongoing drug-trafficking probe, the Cobourg Police Service said a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at a residence in the Densmore Road area. The street crime enforcement unit, criminal investigations bureau, canine unit and uniform members were involved in the raid, reported police.

As a result of the investigation, police said they seized cocaine, $7,600 in Canadian currency, and an expandable baton.

“The total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $3,000,” added police.

The investigation led to four residents ages 26, 29, 52 and 48, all charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance – cocaine. The 26-year-old and 29-year-old residents were additionally charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, reported police.

None of these charges have been proven in court.
