As you read this, the warm weather will have arrived, which has been a pleasant change after the long cold spell, but it creates a problem on the trails.

After a long cold spell many of us are looking forward to milder temperatures and eventually spring weather, although winter does result in some beautiful scenes.

The recent long spell of cold weather seems to have discouraged many hikers from coming out on the trails.  My time in Canada has progressed where the winter has been progressively milder.
