Royal Canadian Legion Paris Branch 29 President Barry Humphrey visited the 1st Paris Scouting Group on November 5th at Paris District High School, delivering a moving presentation on the true meaning of Remembrance Day.

The Paris Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 is preparing to mark a milestone of both local and national importance. In 2026, the Paris Legion will celebrate its 100th anniversary, coinciding with the centennial of the Royal Canadian Legion of Canada. Founded in 1926, Branch 29 has been a cornerstone of the Paris community for a century. 

As new subdivisions sprout and construction equipment hums daily across Paris, many residents are quick to complain that the town is "growing too fast." Social media platforms amplify these concerns, with posts and threads painting a picture of an out-of-control expansion. Yet, a closer look at the numbers over the past 184 years reveals a different narrative: Paris has weathered far more dramatic growth spurts in its history.
