Being an ally is one of the most important things to be for a queer loved one, but being an ally is more than just accepting their orientation or saying that it’s fine. To be a true ally means to understand that how they think and feel is different, to stand up for them no matter what, to accept that there are things that you may not know and to take the step to learn what you can. Stratford-Perth Pride is offering a class for those who want to learn, Acronym for Allies. 

Stratford-Perth Pride (SPP) has been putting together local get togethers since the summer, hosting an event the first Sunday of each month to socialize with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as well as allies, and they’re getting ready for their next event: a theatre viewing of Wicked: For Good on Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. 

The Livery Yard opened its doors in the evening, inviting people to come inside, enjoy some delicious coffee and listen to some amazing music from talented local bands. July 24-26 was the weekend of Livery After Dark, and it was a weekend many came out to enjoy.
