After a few months and change of preliminary investigation, the City of Stratford is nearing a final decision on the purchase of the former Scotiabank Data Centre located at 10 and 52 Wright Blvd. As chief administrative officer (CAO) André Morin said during the Stratford city council meeting on May 11, the building is a unique opportunity but it is still just one option of many.

After numerous Stratford city councillors spoke out against the Province of Ontario’s strong mayor powers, council has followed through and filed a legal challenge against them.
