Wellesley Township seeking Citizen of the Year nominations

The Wellesley-North Easthope Agricultural Society is once again inviting residents to nominate outstanding community members for the annual Wellesley Township Citizen of the Year Awards.

The program recognizes individuals who have made a positive impact on the community through volunteerism, leadership and service.

Nominations will be accepted throughout June, with residents encouraged to submit the names of deserving individuals for consideration.

The Citizen of the Year program is designed to celebrate people who help make Wellesley Township a better place to live. Nominees do not have to reside within the township, nor do those submitting nominations.

Awards are presented in three categories:

• Junior Citizen of the Year – for individuals 21 years of age or younger during the current year.

• Citizen of the Year – for individuals over the age of 21.

• Lifetime Achievement Award – recognizing a lifetime of service and dedication to the community.

Organizers encourage residents to nominate anyone they feel has made a meaningful contribution to the township.

“If you're having a hard time deciding who to nominate, nominate them all,” organizers said.

Nomination forms will be available throughout June at the post offices in Wellesley, St. Clements and Linwood.
