Tim Hawman brings north shore solitude to the Goderich Co-op Gallery

Paintings by Tim Hawman that will be on display at Goderich Co-op Gallery during the month of July.

Landscape painter Tim Hawman will be July's guest artist at the Goderich Co-op Gallery.

Born and raised in northern Ontario, remote forests shaped both his character and his artistic vision. His representational landscapes reflect a deep immersion in the beauty and solitude of the wilderness. Tim now calls Huron County home.

After four years at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, Tim went on to graduate from Bible College in eastern Canada.

Working in oils and acrylics, theology and art come together in Tim's paintings, turning the viewer's attention to the wonder, mystery and glory of the natural world.

"I firmly believe we are lessened in some way as human beings when we lose touch with the land," he explained.

The artist's exhibition, North Shore Solitude, will open at the beginning of July with an opening reception on July 4 at 2 p.m. Please note the gallery will be closed on Canada Day, Wednesday July 1. All are invited to come and welcome the artist and enjoy his new series of artwork.

Just prior to this event, Co-op members will rehang the entire gallery during our gallery changeover and some artists will bring in fresh new artwork — it's always worth a visit.

Drop by at the beginning of August to see the new feature wall exhibit, where members will show their interpretation of the challenge theme – Renewal.
