It was a Paris-versus-Paris showdown in the championship game of the Terry Conroy Memorial Tournament on Nov. 29, as two of the Wolfpack U11 Local League teams battled their way through round-robin play to set up an all-hometown final. In the end, Paris Wolfpack Team 1 captured the title with a 7-2 win over their fellow Wolfpack competitors, capping off a dominant weekend for both squads.

Team 1 earned its spot in the final with two strong round-robin performances, opening the tournament with a 6-3 win over New Hamburg before rolling to a 9-0 shutout against Wellington Grey. The group carried that momentum into the championship game.

Dawson Anderson was a standout, scoring twice in the first period and completing his hat trick early in the second to give Team 1 a commanding lead. He added a fourth goal later in the game. Henry Bartscher, Lillian Ryan and Josh Rollings rounded out the scoring, while assists came from Ryan, Harper Stec, Arthur Hazeldine and Jace Allgood. Goaltender Davis Starks secured the win in net.

On the opposite bench, Paris Wolfpack Team 2 put up a hard fight in the final and found the back of the net twice, with unassisted goals from Cecil Burbridge and Henry Martin.

Team 2 also earned its place in the championship with an impressive round-robin showing of its own. The squad opened with a 7-2 victory over Centre Wellington Team 2, then defeated the Ayr Flames 4-2 to advance. Both Paris teams played with intensity and heart throughout the tournament, something Team 1 Head Coach Jeff Bartscher highlighted afterward.

“I’m incredibly proud of how our group competed this weekend,” he said. “Every game, they showed grit, discipline, and a willingness to battle for each other. Everyone bought into a shared goal, supported one another, and stayed focused no matter the situation. That commitment is what made the difference for us.”

The all-Paris final made for an electric atmosphere in Fergus and showcased the depth and talent within the Wolfpack program.
